Also, the show is okay. Typical zombie stuff, just it lacks the action of "survivalism" so far. The character drama is okay, the characters could be a bit more fleshed out. Hopefully season two is better since the shows has attracted a fair bit more viewers hopefully along with more funds and better effort.

I'm kind of pissed that we finally get to here about what happens to the infected, and now the guys dead, and all the data is gone. how long is it going to be before they happen to find another scientist? goddammit!

Also, it appears dish network dropped AMC, and I had to wait for someone to upload a tv rip the next day. doublefuckinggoddammit!

Just watched the last episode and I gotta say I thought it sucked. Maybe that's a bit harsh so maybe just disappointing. They have moved so far away from the source material it drives me crazy. Why is it that shows such as this that are really well made and have a great deal of potential get episodes like this?! Do I really need to know what happened? That whole last episode I could have done without. Why must they (networks, producers, and or writers) dumb it down by having to explain everything? Reminds me of Twin Peaks when once Laura Palmer's death was explained they in effect killed the show. I know I am oversimplifying that a bit and yes I am an oldfag but you get the idea.

And what was it with that whisper at the end?!?! Lost In Translation anyone? Sheesh.

I really hope the show gets back on track with the source material this next season. I love the book and the show is amazing but episode six killed it for me.

It's also difficult to speculate exactly when we'll run out of oil. We may find massive reserves to tap somewhere on Earth, or develop new technology to extract it from places where it's too expensive to do so now. But as oil starts to be less and less available, long before we are actually out of it entirely, militaries will start hoarding it all for themselves. We're already fighting over it now aren't we? We'll probably find something to replace it with in the end though.

Still, there is something in the back of my brain telling me that one day it's all going to come crashing down and I'm going to be one of the ones unfortunate enough to live to see it.

As for surviving, growing food is pretty easy, there's a lot out there on the net that gives you an idea, but really all you have to do is know the seasonal conditions and you'll be fine to just read the back of a seed packet. Problem comes when a nuclear winter fucks your seasons up, but I think potatoes pretty much grow anywhere in most conditions. Just don't eat it if it glows.

162 wasn't labeled on the site which I got it from, whichever site that was. I don't think it is, though. Certainly resembles it, but Google Maps's results for banks in that area brings up neither of the banks that can be seen in the image. No other building names can be discerned from the image.
