A Christian-Themed Imageboard? On My Internets?

It’s more likely than you think.

One of the nice things about the *chan scene is that people are starting to get creative. I think it’s because people have gotten sick of 4chan clones, but whatever the reason you’ve now got sites like Bookchan, which is all about books and Horrorchan, which is dedicated to horror images, movies, etc. However, one of the weirdest ones I’ve seen is Christchan, one dedicated to, well, Christianity (and in a positive way too).

When I saw the link, I lolled hard. One of the most unlikeliest *chans to ever be created, and yet it was. Oh man…

A quick rundown: each boards theme appears to be based on one of the various Christian virtues/character traits: wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety, awe (of God’s majesty, etc). However, what has (predictably) happened is that other channers found out about the site and things are slowly turning into a trollfest.

A common opinion regarding Christchan. What a surprise.

I applaud the creator(s) for the unique idea, just not the intelligence to see reality. This is the internet. More specifically, this is Anonymous’s corner of the internet. They should of seen this coming. Religion is always a toughy subject and easy troll material, and that’s just ignoring the numbers of “experts” on the net. As one can imagine, pseudo-intelligence, trolling and general faggotry abound, making it difficult for the mods. With the existing posts as retarded as they are, I’d hate to see the ones that were deleted.

In all honesty, the site is made of fail. Perhaps it would’ve been better if Anonymous wasn’t filled with so many retards, but that’s wishful thinking. Don’t forget, we’re meant to be the Internet Hate Machine, lol.

Maybe it’s meant to attract trolls? Jesus says to love your enemies, so it’s not hard to extend that to mean trolling internet tough guys. Besides, there’s already a subgenre of x for Christians, where x is anything else, so why not a chan?

I seriously doubt it’s meant to attract trolls. First off, they’re moderating it, secondly, it’s illogical to go and pay the money for the hosting. They’re using Dreamhost, so if they do a monthly payment then they just coughed up a once-off of $49.95. If they’re doing it long-term there is no installation fee. What a waste for trolling a bunch of trolls. There’s no real lulz in that, it’s pissing in the ocean of piss that makes up the /b/ community.

St Alu, no worries there. I wont be adding one. You only need to look at ChristChan to see what’ll happen, lol

Silly, but if they want to have an imageboard for their religion, best of luck to them, I guess. I don’t see why Christians would want an anonymous imageboard, though…

It seems unlikely the people who started christchan would particularly care about trolls.
