As some of you may have noticed, 7chan is back up again (well, kinda - not all the boards are there), after quite a downtime.

If you were wondering what exactly happened to them, basically one of the admins when crazy and changed the DNS entries, fucking shit up. The top admins managed to get DNS control back, but were too damn lazy to do anything else, like actually put the site back up. But, as you can see, they finally stopped playing with themselves and did it. However, when boards like /b/ are not there, you’ve got to ask yourself - is it really 7chan? Already, /b/tards are milling around in confusion, spreading AIDS and cancer to other boards.

Hopefully the admins will stop being completely gay and get their shit together, but only time will tell.

It seems that whatever changes the main staff wanted to do have been done - there’s an official post and everything. The tl;dr version of events is that they’ve brought back /b/ and killed a good deal of the other boards.

The slightly longer version is that they’ve gone from over 30 boards to just 14, loosing a lot of the adult ones and all of the stupid ones (/raeg/, etc). What doesn’t surprise me is that there are already cries for the loli, futa and shota boards to come back. Hell, on their new /sug/ board, there’re cries for quite a few of the old boards in general. I guess we’ll see how this goes. A 7chan with fewer boards seems… lacking, for some reason.
