I got high before going to Wal-Mart last night and this dude kept following me around asking me if we could get something to eat. Then I got mad and it turned out it was my girlfriend so we got some McDonalds I kept trying to order a frosty but they got all pissy so I settled on a chocolate milkshake instead.

Running out of time again.
Where did you go wrong time.
When your problems overwhelm you go get drunk, it's party time.
Take a quaalude, relax you mind relax your body too.
Run from your problems but you never get away.
Nobody loves and you wonder why.

Sitting with your mouth full of beer your eyes are glazed, face is red.
Who's going to pick you up and use you for tonight?

When your on the streets with a needle in your arm, selling your body for another fix.
Who's going to pick you up and take you home with them tonight?

You're running out of breath again. You're not an old maid you're only fiveteen.
Your loosing your little girl's charm.
Cry all night but you'll never get it back.
Don't be afraid, it's not too late save yourself.
I need you here wearing off, wearing out.
I can't think about this cause it makes me sick.

Sitting with your mouth full of beer your eyes are glazed, face is red.
Who's going to pick you up and use you for tonight?
Not me.
Not me.

When your on the streets with a needle in your arm, selling your body for another fix.
Who's going to pick you up and take you home with them tonight?
Not me.
Not me.

I've never really gotten a proper buzz from caffeine. I've never used it really as a stimulant though, I suppose, merely as a side effect from tea drinking. Drunk for fucking days now. I actually switched to lite beer tonight because I'm starting to worry about myself and know I have to quit very soon.

It's funny, I can still function really well socially, now matter how fucked up I am. I just don't remember the conversations very well later. The only person who seems to have noticed how bad it's gotten is my ex who made a surprise visit last night.

I also narrowly avoided a fight last night in the liquor / grocery store parking lot. Tl;dr version, this guy almost ran me over in his truck. When I made something of it he came very close to punching me I think, then just spat in my fucking face and left. I should have slugged him but there are security guards and cameras there, I depend on that store because it's the one closest to me, plus my roommate works there. I didn't want to start trouble there for those reasons. Still, I feel like I should have done more. I can't stand bullies.

the Shiner Cheer is a dark wheat ale with overtones of peach and pecan leaning towards almond due to a roast. The peach/roast pecan overtone is a rather novel experience for my palate. The only fruity beers im used to are peach/raspberry/cherry lambics and leinenkugel sunset wheat (which tastes like cheap, generic fruit loops). Also shock top, which starts wheaty and goes to orange, and saint arnold lawnmower that starts malty and heads to a lemon finish.

Its very good, very smooth, and the flavor is well balanced. I give it 5 stars.

Tax day tomorrow here in Soviet Canuckistan. Left everything until the last minute (as usual), then put the wrong digits in one of the boxes on my forms, which threw the rest of my calculations off. Spent the rest of the evening pulling my hair out trying to make sense out of what went wrong until my beloved roommate sat down and made me go through the paperwork meticulously to fix it. She's less guardian angel than drill sergeant but it was exactly what I needed tonight.

Currently drinking off the stress of the evening with a dozen less-than-fine Molson products.

le bump

so, after drinking three half liter cans of 10% beer, I found what I thought was a dead body in my living room. My roommate had made a dummy out of some stuffed coveralls and a motorcycle helmet, which looked like a dead air force pilot, and left it sitting in an armchair lit up by a bike light in strobe mode. Scared the SHIT out of me. After three seconds of terror, I knew it wasn't real, and I immediately knew who was behind it because it had all his trademarks. I was going to leave the dummy on the floor with a kitchen knife in it's back but I was afraid our much more squeamish roommate would find it and have the same experience I did. So I knocked on the alleged perpetrator's door, threw the helmet at him and said "this is your doing, isn't it?"

I told him not to do that sort of thing to his friends, do it to someone else. He apologized. Still, I'm going to get him back somehow.

Still drunk from yesterday. My friends got married, and both families organized receptions, one after the other, and both parties had free booze. Then there was a hardcore show. Everyone just drank for about twelve hours straight.

My right pinkie is swollen and bruised, there is a cut over my eyebrow and some mild road rash on my left palm. Allegedly I stumbled into someone's potted kale on the sidewalk, then a parked car. Funny thing is, I was far from being the worst drunk last night. Good times... I think...

aw, you have a cute kitty... kinda looks like a younger version of mine. My little guy is a pain in the ass though. But he likes to sit in boxes and sleep or just look up at you which is adorable. I always leave an empty beer box on the floor of my room for him.

I have like four beer left, then I have to quit. I have to assemble myself long enough to move my shit out of this house before the end of the week, then I'm moving in with my straightedge buddy out in the sticks. Well. He made computers that even the most computer impaired people could use. Like my friend who digs wells for a living, can strip his truck down to it's bitty parts and reassemble it blindfolded, knows how to use any tool you can think of for mechanic or renovating work, yet can't use a computer to save his life for some reason. Someone gave him a Mac laptop and I keep it running for him. At least, I try. I had other friends who were brilliant writers, educated folk, yet were completely retarded when it came to computers... Macs were made for these people.

Me and my ex-wife had an old Mac laptop. We were homeless and living out of a van, getting paid a tiny stipend to run our friends' website for them, operating off of wifi at a local cafe who's staff were sympathetic to our situation. That little machine NEVER failed us.

Snohomish and Skagit counties are nice, as long as you don't live within a city... though it is getting less bearable to be living in south Snohomish, partially due to a moron named Paul Allen.

The kind of parties I go to people end up spontaneously creating things. Like art, book collaboration, wine making, DIY projects, home repair, etc. I can't count the number of times I've had to go out to my truck to get a box of tools to do this or that at a party. That sounds like the parties I went to in the States. Seriously. Public group sex with payed prostitutes is just...tacky. Even around here, if you're going to have public sex parties, it's because everyone who shows up is a bdsm player, a swinger, or some other kind of perv and it's just how people GET after a few drinks. But paying "strippers" to show up and have sex? Blech. The working girls would be quite offended.

Ha ha, yeah... for that matter the food and booze laid out for public consumption at those sorts of parties are sometimes enough to make it worthwhile, without having to resort to any covert direct action. And being the dirty freaks in such an environment can go one of two ways. You and your friends are either met with contempt and suspicion or are welcomed with open arms for the sense of gritty reality you bring to the occasion; it's called "atmospheric attendance".

The last time me and some scummy friends crashed such a party was a month ago. I'm... still not sure what happened. We were there for 20 minutes total. I was having a conversation with some folks in the kitchen and someone came in and grabbed me and said "We have to leave. NOW!" Good times, at least... I think?

A cautionary tale.

I was trying to light a fire in the wood stove, just to keep the pipes from freezing. The wood was wet and I started to lose my patience so I figured there must be something flammable around here. Found some gasoline in the garage. Tossed it into the stove and nothing happened, then three seconds later it went boom. Fireball. First off, congratulations. Welcome to the singed eyebrow club.

Secondly, for the love of all that is holy, keep some dry kindling in the house, in a box, near the stove. That way, you always have sure dry wood to start the next fire with. After you have a bed of coals going, you can put in wet wood, and it will go.
