I’m sure you noticed the “Bandwidth Limit Reached” server message at the end of last month. Hopefully, you didn’t like it anymore than I did, lol.
Unfortunately, it’ll probably be a common occurrence towards the end of every month - I can’t afford the hosting, and I don’t want to have to shut the site down (or remove the boards that eat the most bandwidth). I tried ads, but that failed, and my host is now continuously bitching at me about server resource usage! (Thank God the boards are static content else they’d of shutdown the site down a long time ago)
In short, Megachan needs to move onto dedicated hardware if it is to stay online and grow, and that costs money. How much? Well, I’m looking at $2000 - this will provide adequate hosting for a year. However, the short-term goal is roughly $1000, which covers 6 months hosting.
