The picture painted in the first chapter of Starship Troopers is what I usually think of. Extremely fast and mobile mechanized troops armed to the point of near absurdity, capable of laying waste to a whole region or performing precise, surgical operations as the occasion demands.

I played it for a while, but it's so hard to play more than a month without getting your entire faction obliterated by some higher up player farming. And unless you pay for bonuses, you will be at a disadvantage against those players.

As for free to play online browser mmos, like Ikarium, Ultracorp, Archmage, Travian, etc... I just didn't find O-Game to be one of the better ones.

I once stumbled upon cybernations. It was okay, but it seemed a though every decision was made for me in my corporation. I don't see the fun in playing a game that has no choices.

Played ogame for a while in 2005 or so, with a couple of my classmates. It was fun, but way too time-consuming.
