Site Developments
As some of you may of noticed, MC is now running the latest version of Kusaba (1.0.4). In addition, due to a fuck up that occurred while trying to fix an accidental auto-ban, I’ve been forced to redo all the Apache redirections, bans, etc. I’ve removed a lot of old and useless crap, and in doing so I’ve fixed all those bizarre 403 errors people have been getting (especially those browsing via Overchan v2. While doing all of that, I decided to fix a lot of smaller issues that I was procrastinating about. As such, all boards except for /sand/ are now featured in the Random Image Viewer, over at the boards homepage. There were some other tweaks here and there, but I’m not going to go into them. Anyway, here are some of the more important announcements:
Porno Megachan making a comeback
As some of the regulars will remember, there used to be a “Porno Megachan”, with adult boards hosted on another domain. That site didn’t last long as finances were tight and I needed to cut costs. However, seeing how the Adsense isn’t working out as much as I’d hoped, I’ll be cancelling that and may as well bring the NSFW boards back as a subdomain on this one 
It should be ready in a few days, I just need to iron out a few issues here and there.
Main boards moving to a subdomain
My word, how Wordpress can annoy me. As mentioned above, 403 Forbidden errors were a common occurrence here on MC. This was due to fucked up .htaccess commands (too many late nights on my part trying to set up complicated redirects and stuff) but it resulted in Wordpress leaping in and trying to display a page, often at weird moments when it shouldn’t have been. While the problems have been sorted out, I feel that to prevent problems like this in future, I’m going to separate Kusaba and Wordpress. That should stop them squabbling, lol. The boards will only be moved some time next month, though, and of course you’ll all be informed beforehand.
There are some more things I’m considering, but these are the major ones for now.
